Movement profile reference

You can find your movement profiles under File bar → Profile. A profile is the .movement.json file Revolution Macro reads while gathering: base weights, rules, High Value and Duped order, zones, patterns, and tuning. It decides how the macro ranks what it can see. It doesn’t change what the macro can see or when it gathers. Use this page to look up a part of the profile by name.

  • Profile lists saved profiles, or No profiles yet. when the library is empty.
  • New profile… asks for a name and creates a .movement.json from the default gather profile with Hive set to Blue. An empty name uses Gather.
  • Import profile… accepts a *.movement.json file. Import as copy adds it under its own name. Replace existing overwrites a profile with that name. A file that fails validation shows Import failed.
  • Duplicate…, Rename…, and Delete… act on files in the library folder only.
  • Reveal profile library opens the folder.

RevolutionMacro/profiles in your user config folder, often %APPDATA%\RevolutionMacro\profiles.

Older profiles under RevolutionMacro/settings/profiles are moved into the shared library. The macro’s --profiles-dir flag points both apps at a different folder.

The badge next to Save shows the state of the open profile.

BadgeMeaning
UnsavedEdits aren’t on disk. The macro still uses the last saved file.
Saving…The file is being written.
AppliedThe linked macro reloaded the saved profile. Shows briefly after a save.
SavedThe file is on disk.
LiveLive Apply is on and the linked macro is running the saved profile.
A numberThat many validation errors. Live Apply won’t save, and rules with errors are ignored while gathering. Click the Validation issues indicator to jump to them.

Closing with unsaved edits asks Save your profile before closing?. Switching profiles asks You have unsaved changes. Switch profiles anyway?.

One profile file holds a layer for each hive: Blue, Blue Eco, Red, and Mixed. File bar → Hive chooses which layer the Configure tabs edit. A layer that hasn’t been edited is seeded from the built-in template for that hive. New profiles open on Blue, and an unknown hive value falls back to Blue. Editing any layer is free. The linked macro checks whether it can start a Red or Mixed gather when the session begins.

File bar → Field chooses whether you’re editing the whole profile or one field.

  • Default (all fields) edits the profile-wide values.
  • Choosing a field stores rules, base weights, priority order, High Value order, Duped order, and disabled tokens for that field only. Ant Field isn’t in the picker.
  • Reset, then Reset field override?, clears the field’s overrides so it uses the profile-wide values again.
  • Live Duped collection always uses the profile-wide Duped list, even when a field override is selected.
  • Could not load fields. or No fields loaded. means the field catalog didn’t load. Restart AI Studio.

Token Priorities holds the base weight for every ordinary token class in the current hive layer. Base weight is where a token’s score starts before rules and curves change it. A class at 0 is never picked by ordinary scoring unless a rule gives it a score.

Token Rules holds the rules that change ordinary token scores. Templates offers ready-made rules such as Stop Melody above 30% buff. The default blue profile ships gates that block Melody and Baby Love above 30% buff, Focus at max stacks, and Boost above 20% during Scorching Star, plus depletion curves that raise those tokens as their buffs run down.

High Value is the ordered list of tokens the macro collects ahead of ordinary ones. Higher rows win when two are on the field. Add high-value token adds a class. An empty list shows No high-value tokens — add ones the macro should prefer before normal gathers, and an unedited list is seeded from the hive’s catalog. The reach for High Value tokens is the High-value chase band under Tools → Field Zones, 40 studs by default.

Duped holds the Priority List and rules for duped tokens, which the macro detects and scores separately from ordinary tokens. Saved Duped order and rules score live Duped collection when the profile is loaded. The Simulator doesn’t rank them. An empty list shows No duped tokens — add classes the macro should score on the duped graph. Mixed hive ships with Duped collection off.

Actions holds action rules for Return to Sprinkler, Execute Pattern, Execute Movements, Wait, Rotate Camera, and Oscillate Camera. Return to Sprinkler, Wait, and Execute Movements offer Cannot be interrupted. Wait has no duration of its own. Idle wait length is a Tuning setting.

Rule kinds, scopes, and condition templates

Section titled “Rule kinds, scopes, and condition templates”
KindWhat it does
AdjustAdds to the score, or multiplies it, while the conditions match. A response curve can scale the amount by another value, such as buff percent.
GateBlocks collection while the conditions match. When a Block and an Allow both match, Block wins.
Priority floorRaises the token’s base priority above all other tokens while the conditions match.
Pick overridePuts the target ahead of ordinary scoring in a chosen tier while the conditions match.
Set policyChanges how a token is handled, such as its gather band, without adding score.
InterruptDecides whether a new candidate may replace the commitment in progress. Block interrupts or Allow interrupts.

A rule applies to one scope. token rules rank ordinary tokens. duped rules score Duped collection. action rules score movements. A rule without a condition always matches. A rule that isn’t marked disabled is enabled.

Condition templates in the Rule Editor: Always applies with no check. Buff check matches when a buff percent or stack count crosses a threshold. Distance check matches on studs from the sprinkler or from a token. Rule conditions reference lists every condition.

The profile ships a few Interrupt rules, including int-ordinary-margin, which requires an ordinary challenger to score ×1.5 higher than the ordinary token the macro is already moving to. Disable a shipped rule rather than deleting it. A deleted shipped Interrupt rule is put back the next time the profile loads.

Every Tuning row is listed in Tuning settings reference. Two you’ll see often: Sprinkler wait before rescan, the seconds spent at the sprinkler before the macro clears stale detections, and Return cooldown, the wait after a return before the next token pick.
